August 2013 was a very dark month for Egypt. Around sixty churches were destroyed, police stations were attacked, and Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins were violently ended. In this period, extremists also tried to destroy the Holy Family tree in Mattāriyyā. Sadly, they managed to cut the tree.
